Business and Law students celebrate with big business
The high achievements of faculty students were celebrated last Wednesday at the Student Prizes evening held at Frasers restaurant in Kings Park.
The awards recognised outstanding marks in areas across Business and Law sponsored by prominent industry and political leaders of Western Australia. The night also gave students a great opportunity to build a professional relationship with WA businesses whilst enjoying fine wine and finger foods overlooking Perth City. Full Story >>
40 under 40 awards celebrations
Perth’s rising stars of the corporate world gathered at the Century City building site on 5 March for this year’s 40 Under 40 presentations.
The Business and Law faculty would like to congratulate Kellie Benda, the ECU Strategic Alliance Prize winner. At the age of 36, Kellie secured her first board director position as General Manager of Assets and Strategy at the Royal Automobile Club of W.A (Inc). She now contributes to four other organisations at board level, cares for her three young children and supports her husband Phil, Managing Director of his own start up company.

Faculty academic appointed to national Superannuation Advisory Committee
Associate Professor Marilyn Clark-Murphy, Head of the School of Accounting, Finance and Economics; has been appointed to the recently established Superannuation Advisory Committee.
Professor Clark-Murphy was appointed to the Australia-wide Committee on the basis of her extensive experience and leading research in the field.
Established to provide advice to the Federal Government regarding policy and initiatives that effect the superannuation industry, the Committee will meet approximately three times each year.
Out of the 10 individuals appointed to the high-level committee, Professor Clark-Murphy is one of only two academics, and is the only member from Western Australia. Full Story >>
