The Finance Major from the Bachelor of Business explores the operation of financial markets and institutions in society in the context of how business and individuals can efficiently manage their financial affairs.

Issues for investigation include: the decision on how an enterprise's operations are to be funded, the process of investment evaluation, the role and operation of the banking system and personal financial planning. Graduates in Finance are to be found in stockbroking, investment management, the financial advisory business and the finance division of all types and sizes of companies.

Campus: Joondalup / Mount Lawley / Off-campus (This Major can be completed off-campus (online) although the full selection of elective units may not be available.)

Professional associations

The Bachelor of Business with a Major in Finance is recognised by the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). Relevant units in the Finance Major have been recognised by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) for PS146 compliance. Students seeking PS146 should ensure they study the appropriate units.
