The past decade has seen the growth in importance of both industrial relations and human resource management functions, and demand for graduates in these areas is expanding as the complexity of employment relations increases. Careers include human resource specialists in the private and public sectors, and industrial relations officers, advocates, and research officers with employers, unions and in the public sector.

Special Requirements

The Industrial Relations major can be studied as a second major in conjunction with a Human Resource Management major.

Supplementary Program

To complete the Bachelor of Business degree students must undertake a Supplementary Program (120 credit points) of a Human Resources Management Major.

Professional associations

The Bachelor of Business with a Major in Human Resource Management is accredited by the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI ). This entitles graduates to apply to the AHRI for professional membership.
