Bachelor of Laws (LLB) / Bachelor of Arts
Course Code V73
The Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Arts double degree combines the new Law degree program (subject to recognition by the Legal Practice Board of WA) with an existing Arts degree program. This double degree provides students with lifelong transferable skills equipping them for employment in a wide range of professions as well as for further study in a variety of disciplines.
Note: The ECU Bachelor of Laws Degree is an approved degree for the purposes of s27 (2) (a) (i) of the Legal Practice Act 2003. Specific recognition of Years One and Two has been granted by the Legal Practice Board. Subsequent years will be submitted to the Board for approval as required.
It should be noted that until the entire Bachelor of Laws degree is accredited, no absolute guarantee can be given that persons obtaining the Bachelor of Laws degree will not be required to obtain other academic requirements in order to be qualified for admission as a Legal Practitioner in Western Australia.
Course Location and Availability
The course is available at Joondalup Campus in either full-time or part-time mode.
Course structure
This program requires the student to complete 44 units and achieve a total of 630 credit points (all units are 15 credit points) and consisting of twenty-one Laws units, twelve Arts units and eleven elective units. The Bachelor of Arts component consists of eight major units and three minor units.
