The Graduate Diploma of Business (Professional Accounting) course has been designed to provide an opportunity for business/commerce graduates, who wish to enter the accounting profession, but whose previous selection of business/ commerce units does not meet the Admission requirements of the accounting professional bodies.
This course provides a selection of units which allow applicants to satisfy these Admission requirements.

Available to persons with a recognised undergraduate degree in business or commerce seeking conversion to meet accounting professional body requirements.

Duration: 1 year full-time or part-time equivalent

This course consists of 8 units selected from the following and subject to the approval of the course coordinator.

- ACC5603 Accounting for Planning and Control
- ACC5604 Auditing
- ACC5605 Accounting Theory and Practice
- ECF5600 Principles of Economics
- ECF5661 Quantitative Studies
- ECF5220 Principles of Finance
- LAW5111 Commercial Law
- LAW5200 Company Law
- LAW5300 Taxation Law
- MBA5605 Information System Challenges in Management
Note: Students seeking professional body membership should consult the Course Coordinator to ensure the correct units are selected.
Professional associations
The units have been recognised by CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and the National Institute of Accountants as meeting the educational requirements for membership.
Students who are required to complete more than eight units for accounting professional body recognition are advised to apply for the Master of Professional Accounting course as appropriate for their requirements.
Students who are required to complete four or less than four units for accounting professional body recognition may apply for the Graduate Certificate of Business (Professional Accounting) course.
