The Office of Research and Higher Degrees is responsible for the research activities and research students within the Faculty of Business and Law.

Research

The Faculty of Business and Law at ECU is proud of its research achievements, and is committed to continuing its high quality and innovative applied research. We engage with strategic partners so that our research academics can contribute unique expertise, research methodology and the resources of the university working collaboratively with industry practitioners with in-depth understanding of an issue. This approach ensures research in areas of relevance and the application of the research results for meaningful impact in the community.

Our Faculty's six research centres offer specialised research services to specific industries and the community covering a wide range of areas from financial markets, business with Asia, e-commerce, marketing and quality management to social issues and law enforcement. Our research centres are regularly reviewed by outside, independent panels and display excellence in research income and publications, critical mass of research active staff and critical mass of research postgraduate students and completions.

Research Degrees

Our research courses cover a wide range of Business and Law related disciplines and offers particular expertise in finance, tourism, e-business, human resource management, small business and the delivery of law, justice and policing programs. These programs include Honours, Masters by Research and Doctoral level courses.

We offer an enhanced learning experience and strong support to our research students with a high level of industry involvement and consultation.

We aim to develop our students with contemporary business research skills and as ethical contributors to society.
