Research Links and Partnerships
The Faculty is committed to expanding its local, national and international research links. Faculty researchers work in collaboration with individual businesses, other Universities, industry bodies and government on high quality and innovative applied research projects.
International links
- Associate Professor Peter Standen from the School of Management undertook a study on Information and Communications Technology (ICTs), with core funding from the European Commission's Information Society Technologies Program.
- Dr Paul Jackson from the School of Management is undertaking research on Virtual Organising and Knowledge Transformation Processes with the Luigi Boccini University, Denmark.
- Associate Professor Margaret Mitchell from the School of Law and Justice maintains strong connections with the policing and justice sector in Scotland.
- Visiting Professor Jacqueline Tombs of Glasgow Caledonian University is working with the Sellenger Centre for Research in Law, Justice and Policing on violence prevention.
- The School of Marketing, Tourism and Leisure has links with Auburn University, Alabama.
- Visiting Associate Professor Martin O'Neil, has presented free public lectures on service quality, as well as sharing his expertise with staff and research students.
National links
- SIRCA (Securities Industry Research Centre), an Australia wide centre researching in a wide range of areas related to securities markets, financial services and the managed funds industry.
- Financial Integrity Research Network (FIRN), a collaboration of 12 Australian universities, research centres, industry and government representatives, researching the integrity and efficiency of the Australian Financial System. This network is funded by the Australian Research Council.
- Enterprise Information Infrastructure (EII) Network, a network funded by the Australian Research Council, targeting consolidated research towards the comprehensive development and establishment of advanced information infrastructures.
- The Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) is a research partner on the Drug Use Monitoring Australia project.
- The University of Wollongong, Griffith University, University of Sydney, University of Melbourne and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
Local links
- Strong links have been formed with the Western Australian Police Service, local governments, including the Cities of Joondalup, Wanneroo, Swan, Armadale and Gosnells.
- We also collaborate with educational institutions such as Curtin University and the University of Western Australia and the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research.
- Our business partners include Alcoa, Bank West, and the Government Employees Superannuation Board.
