COS System

ECU is a member of the COS Research Databases, which has replaced the Office of Research Services’ newsletter and global e-mails regarding funding opportunities.

What does COS do?

COS offers a number of web based services to support researchers in all academic subjects areas. The three main services are:

  • COS Funding Opportunities database. Finds funding opportunities based on keyword searches. The global funding opportunities data base is up-dated daily and has over 23 000 records.
  • COS Funding Alert Service.Regularly advises you of funding with an automatic e-mail alert based on your expertise profile and areas of research strength.
  • University Expertise Database. Search for expertise and potential research collaborators both within ECU and throughout 1300 member institutions world wide. This function can also be used to create your Individual expertise profile and can quickly generate a CV.
