Financial Education, Retirement, Planning and Decisions Group
The Financial Education, Retirement, Planning and Decisions Group (FERPAD) has a strong interest in exploring issues associated with:
- levels of retirement planning awareness and education
- how individuals are planning for retirement,
- the decision making process before, at and after retirement
Australia is one of many countries promoting self-provision of retirement income as a means of dealing with a major demographic shift in its population. FERPAD is interested in how individuals are making decisions to provide for themselves. The areas we have and continue to explore include:
- the level of engagement with retirement savings decisions
- retirement planning education and literacy
- superannuation fund member investment choices
- gender and cultural issues in superannuation
