Green Advantage for Small Business is a new program available in early 2008, to raise environmental awareness and provide practical support for small business managers and operators as they tackle sustainability and environmental issues.
This program delivers cost saving techniques and provides practical advice on recycling, waste water and energy reduction practices to help small business operators minimise their impact on the environment while maximising business efficiencies.
Green Advantage for Small Business Expo
The Green Advantage for Small Business Expo was held at West Coast TAFE Joondalup on 2nd April 2008. A range of exhibitors including leading environmental agencies as well as Perth recycling companies specialising in plastic, paper, fluorescent tubing and car batteries were showcased at the Expo. Business owners and managers were introduced to cost saving options and better environmental practices designed to minimise the environmental footprint resulting from their businesses.
One of a series of Green Advantage for Small Business seminars accompanied the Expo at West Coast TAFE. ECU's Small and Medium Enterprise Research Centre intends holding further Green Advantage for Small Business workshops in August and September 2008.
