Risk, Occupational Safety and Health & Environment
It is the policy of Edith Cowan University to provide a safe and healthy working environment.
All staff, students, visitors and contractors are responsible for their own health and safety and for others whose activities they may influence or control. The degree of responsibility a person has will depend upon her or his level of influence or control. The details provided in these web pages are provided for your guidance and assistance to meet these objectives.
The Faculty is committed to providing staff and students with a safe working environment and has elected ROSHE representatives and an ROSHE Committee to assist in fostering this commitment.
Under the Wellbeing Program, Faculty staff are offered:
- A rebate of $16 on the annual flu vaccine
- A ten minute in-house fortnightly massage service
The University’s Occupational Safety and Health Office is able to provide assistance and guidance on matters such as OS&H legislation, hazard identification, Risk Analysis and Control, safe systems of work, Ergonomics, Manual Handling and Return to Work Programs.
